Marzipan

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups finely ground blanched almond meal
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • 1 egg white or one egg's worth of egg replacer

Steps

  • In a food processor, pulse together the almond meal and sugar.
  • Add the extracts and egg white, and process until a thick dough forms.
  • Knead the dough a few times and form it into a log.
  • It will keep in the refrigerator for at least a month, and up to six months in the freezer.
