Ground beef

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup Bragg Liquid Aminos
  • 1/4 cup diced red beet
  • 2 tablespoons vegan beef or mushroom flavored bouillon paste
  • 1 1/2 cups cremini mushrooms, quartered
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup oat flour
  • 3 tablespoons flax meal
  • 1 1/4 cup vital wheat gluten

Steps

  • Add all the ingredients except the gluten to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Add the gluten and knead for a few minutes, until the gluten has developed.
  • Cut into large chunks and steam them for 10-12 minutes, until brown on the outside but still pink on the inside.
  • Transfer back to the food processor and pulse until just ground.
